Raegan
Ohhh the stories Raegan could tell! Raegan is everything an Aussie should be. Extremely intelligent, athletic, beautiful, and as sweet as the day is long. She has a high toy drive with the intensity aussies are known for but is very kind and lives to be petted. She passed her excellent qualities to her offspring and I believe improved the breed. She retired in 2016 and now supervises all these youngsters from the comfort of my couch.
I have 10 aussies. Raegan, Ruby (my sidekick, constant companion, spoiled rotten baby-child), Stevie Rae (the golden child and 4th generation), Cash Maverick (my stud, my buddy and the ultimate aussie), Stella Rayne (my beauty Queen, little lady, prefers the grooming table over fetch ), Chloe Sunshine (sweetest, smartest, sassiest girl ever), Rayna (a Stella baby I kept in 2021 to develop more therapy-work pups). Leida (a Chloe baby that made her way into my heart and shows excellent potential as ESA/therapy dog). Ben, my other stud dog who has blossomed into a beautiful soul with the best temperament, athletic with high intelligence and Lady Lily who is still growing and showing tons of potential in obedience and therapy work.
Raegan is my girl from my second generation and now retired. Ruby is developing into a very good ESA and therapy dog, I anticipate her future pups to have the same potential. Stevie is my beautiful female that I bred specifically to bring in the next generation of Thousand Hills. Literally took me years to get Stevie, she has all my lines in her pedigree. She is super athletic, way too smart and throws exceptional pups. Stella has the biggest heart and most gentle soul and is basically perfect inside and out. Chloe is Raegan's great-great granddaughter and is smart as a whip! And Cash Maverick the most handsome red merle boy I've ever met, the stud muffin, fun-loving, bull-headed, beach baby!
All my adults have been genetically tested and health screened. Their results are available on the PawPrint Genetics website.

Aussies are social creatures. They love their humans immensely and they do well in a group. If you choose to have more than one, you want to make sure all your pups bond with you first. Those first few months are critical. You have to be the pack leader from the get-go. Basic manners are a must. Sit, stay, down, go-to-bed, load up and the most important of all...come. There's nothing worse than your dogs not listening or obeying when you call them. Aussies are going to need and want you everyday. Actually, every minute of every hour of every day they will prefer to be with you. Leaving an aussie for days and days to keep themselves occupied outside alone is asking for trouble. They will find something to do and that something will probably irritate you. Digging, jumping, barking, chasing cars, wandering off... The solution to a lonely aussie is not to add another aussie. The solution is to integrate them into your family's everyday activities. They want nothing more than to be your constant sidekick. Crates are not cruel. Aussies love their crates while you're at work. Don't be afraid of the crate, it is a beautiful thing. Leashes are also a beautiful thing. It's not your dog you have to worry about, it's the other crazy dogs out there. When out in public, it's common courtesy to use a leash.
All of the aussies below are Thousand Hills babies from over the years. I love them all dearly.
