This is what a health guarantee should sound like.
'We stand behind our puppies with a one year health guarantee against any congenital health defects. Puppies will be current on all age appropriate vaccinations/deworming at time of purchase and has been vet checked for heart murmurs, hernias, etc. Buyer has 48 hours to confirm the good health of the puppy by their own vet. Your new puppy has been well socialized, handled daily and potty training has begun. I have an open door policy for the life of the dog. Should any unforeseen circumstance arise and buyer is no longer able to care for their dog, my door is always open. I stand behind all my puppies for the duration of their life and under no circumstance will a Thousand Hills puppy be placed in a shelter, humane society or rescue. Buyer agrees to begin obedience training at 10 weeks of age. Buyer agrees to spay/neuter as suggested by your vet and understands breeding is prohibited unless otherwise agreed upon.
I desire to stay in touch with all my puppy families and enjoy watching them grow!'

If your gut is telling you the breeder is lying to you about something...they probably are. Many breeders administer 5-way and 7-way vaccines at home along with deworming. It's understandable that the breeder doesn't want to take their vulnerable puppies into a vet hospital where all the sick dogs are... I get that. But, an ethical breeder will save the label off the bottle and stick it on a health chart so you and your vet can see exactly what they've had and when.
